Joy and gladness fill the heart

Of those who let them in to start

To live, and love and realign

With power from the Source Divine.

The path to find this blessed way 

Is opened up to us each day

Knowing each decision made

Will face the future unafraid.

Philosophies learned in a book

Should not be foolishly mistook

For living life in joy and love

And sharing blessings from above

By seeking happiness outside

We live in ego and in pride

But look within to quiet voice

We realize now there is a choice.

To fault and gripe and criticize

Every flaw and all the lies

Or lift our consciousness to light

To carry us through darkest night.

Where happiness and peace reside

With power that can turn the tide 

Of hatred, war, and prejudice.

The root of which is selfishness.

Instead we take the higher road

And learn to lift another's load

To seek the beautiful and good

And love each other as we should.

For loving others, faults and all

Will crumble yet the highest wall

And lead us on the path sublime

Given patience, given time.

For what we give returns to us

Some say in threefold times and thus

By living life the best we can,

We learn to help our fellow man.

To make the world a better place

We turn the sunlight on our face

And realize that when we employ

The Source of grace, we live in joy!
